Enjoy a special art exhibit beginning November 7th that will run throughout the month. 'WHAT I SEE', a collection of Acrylic/oil and mixed media paintings by local artist and painter, Richard Layton. The collection features dramatic scenes of foliage and silhouetted objects of contemporary appeal.
The exhibit will begin with a special reception on November 7th starting at 5pm and run until 8pm. The reception is free to the public and will include special discounts for wine, food and artisan beers.
The main focus of the artwork is to inspire viewers. These are contemporary pieces that you can place at home, work and office. Most layouts are either some memory of a specific time or scenery imagined from the personal experiences of the artist.
“ I am motivated by remembering places I love and my fascination with how one tree or a simple branch can change a view into something breathtaking. I choose to do multi canvas works for the contemporary appeal. It forces one to look at the entire painting in sections and as a whole simultaneously.” Says artist Richard Layton.
