Formed in Long Beach, CA, in 1988, Sublime delivered an irresistible blend of ska, reggae, punk, surf rock and hip-hop that captured the imagination of fans around the world. The multi-platinum band sold more than 17 million albums worldwide and produced hits like “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way,” which remain radio staples across the country to this day.

Tragically, in 1996 lead singer Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose. Profoundly affected by Nowell’s death, co-founder Eric Wilson never considered performing the group’s music live without their frontman. More than a decade later, however, Wilson met young singer/guitarist Rome Ramirez, and the Sublime flame was once again reignited.

Rome was introduced to Sublime’s music growing up in the Bay Area, and credits the band with inspiring him to first pick up a guitar and learn to play. Rome began singing and writing songs as a teenager and was playing solo gigs when he met Wilson at a recording studio. An instant friendship and musical bond were formed.

The reformed band’s debut album, Yours Truly, was released in 2011, carrying the vintage Sublime sound infused with reggae dancehall, pop and punk rhythms. Now, with the release of their third album, Blessings, and celebrating the tenth anniversary of Ramirez joining the band, Sublime with Rome is touring the country – including one amazing night in Reno’s Grand Theatre.
