Earth Day 2012 in Reno Tahoe
Living in one of the most naturally beautiful places on the planet, we do what we can to maintain it. Earth Day in Reno Tahoe is big. Drawing crowds by the thousands big.
Celebrations have taken place in Idewild Park along the Truckee River for the past 40 years. The 2012 theme is inspired by the recycling symbol focusing on three major components of Earth Day: The Natural World, Many Cultures, and Green Technologies. The event features live music and entertainment from around the globe, green workshops, children’s activities, and artwork enforcing sustainable cooperative habits. The event is from 9am – 5pm, and it’s always FREE! (Please keep pets at home in accordance with City of Reno regulations.)
