Food trucks have become quite the craze in Reno Tahoe! Mobile kitchens are serving just about everything around town… from Asian cuisine to fresh gelato, gourmet wraps and burgers to craft beers. And now that the warm weather is here, you’re probably ready for some fresh air and sunshine so these food truck events are the cuisine and outdoor seating you’ve been waiting for.
Reno Street Food, also known as “Food Truck Friday,” has become one of the largest food truck events in Reno Tahoe. This party in the park features more than 20 local food, dessert, craft beer, wine and mixed drink vendors. This family-friendly event is hosted at Idlewild Park, which has plenty of grass and room for children to play or to lay out a blanket as local musicians provide free entertainment. Reno Street Food is free to the public and begins on May 18, 2018 and takes place every Friday until September 28, from 5 – 9 p.m. Learn more about which trucks will be rolling into the park each week, activities for kids, the newly added bike valet and where to park on their Facebook page.
Feed the Camel is Reno’s weekly hump day food truck bazaar. Local food trucks convene under the Keystone Bridge, serving unique specialties, along with local beer. Feed the Camel starts June 6, 2018 and will run every Wednesday through September 26 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Find out which food trucks will be in attendance each week on their Facebook page. (And no, there are no camels to feed. Sorry!)
