Coffee Shops in Reno & Lake Tahoe

The Fuel for Adventures

In Reno Tahoe, coffee isn’t just another drink—it’s a way of life. Caffeine keeps us on the move in a region where there’s so much to see, to do, and to be.

Local coffee shops in Reno and Lake Tahoe add a flair all their own to beverages, creating flavorful drinks to fuel you up. We’re talking about pour overs, cherry almond lattes, spicy dirty chais, mocha drogatas, gibraltars—you name it. Wherever you are in Reno Tahoe, you’re bound to find a coffee shop that fits your vibe and a drink that starts your day off right.

Gotta love them local flavors

Inspired by the coffee bars found on every street corner in Italy, Coffeebar strives to provide the highest quality coffee and food in a cozy space. At all of their locations—three in Reno, two in Truckee, and one in North Lake Tahoe—they offer a selection of drinks, fresh-baked treats, and a lunch menu.

Pangolin Café

Come for the coffee, stay for the selection of sweet confections, including their specialty, Turkish Delights. This coffee shop in Reno’s Midtown serves up a full menu of coffee, tea, and sparkling drinks. We’d recommend the pistachio latte and Cubano breve.

Old World Coffee Lab

Old World Coffee Lab brings caffeinated drinks to a new level; they roast coffee beans in a way that highlights the work put into them during growing and processing. They brew beverages to your liking and have specialty drinks for each season. We bet their Vanilla Lavender Latte has a flavor unlike any other you’ve tasted before.

Lighthouse Coffee

Lighthouse Coffee has two locations in Sparks and one in Reno. All of them serve coffee, smoothies, and locally made breakfast snacks, like quiche, bagels, and scones. Their coffee beans are sourced from fair-trade farms and roasted locally. If you end up loving them, take a bag home.

Believe that extraordinary coffee leads to an extraordinary life? So does founder, Nick Visconti, and that’s why he created the specialty coffee company, DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF. Visit their Incline Village shop to snag a bag of high-altitude-roasted beans and grab a bite.

The Perfect Spot to Study or Work—And It Comes With a View

Students and business folks alike love the coffee shop scene in Reno. They’re quiet enough to let you focus, comfortable enough to sit in for hours, and their menu offerings keep you energized. If you need to grind before a test with some friends or set up for a Zoom call while on a business trip, might we recommend Hub Coffee Roasters? They have a few locations in Reno, but their Riverside coffee shop has a view of the Truckee River that’s hard to beat.

Coffee Shops in Reno Hotels & Casino Resorts

If you’re staying at one of the hotels or casino resorts in Reno Tahoe, perk up your visit with a cup of joe from one of their very own coffee shops. Darkshot Coffee, inside Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa, serves a variety of coffee drinks and breakfast items. The coffee shops at some resorts in Reno, such as The Eldorado Coffee Company, even roast their own beans.
