Area Distilleries
If you are a craft spirit connoisseur or you are just looking to try something new, Nevada has some hidden gems. In Minden, about an hour's drive south of Reno, is the Minden Mill Distilling. Built in a 100-year-old flour mill, this distillery uses grains and materials grown on the ranch to create their spirits. Secondly, located east of Reno on a charming ranch in Fallon, Nevada, you will find a distillery with roots dating back more than a hundred years – Frey Ranch Estate Distillery. If Frey Ranch has you intrigued, they host tours every Saturday afternoon. Just west of Reno, Verdi Local Distillery serves up small-batch, handcrafted spirits in a cozy setting. They are known for their uniquely flavored spirits, such as garlic whiskey, black licorice whiskey, as well as their tasty Bloody Mary mix with just the right amount of kick.
