Reno’s, West Street Market, has added another dimension to the culture of downtown, with a rotating farmers market, outdoor space for vendors and indoor space for local food, drink and retail businesses.
From its inception, the market has been developed to provide customers and sightseers a place to “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” foods and goods, stimulate an entrepreneurial town center, and create a venue for entertainment and educational events.
The market has already attracted A-list vendors and retailers, and the events are bringing good crowds. Make sure to check out their funky outdoor patio, take a seat on an Adirondack chair and don’t forget your furry friend too! It is one of places in downtown Reno where you and your dog are both welcome.
The roofed indoor market features 8,494 square-feet in three buildings, housing eight restaurants and counting. For restaurant options don’t miss artisan wood-fired pizzas at The Pizza Collective. Make sure to explore The DeLuxe’s vegan and vegetarian menu items. For Indian fare check out Thali and Maya’s South Indian Cuisine. Have a soup, salad or sandwich at Sabrina’s West Street Kitchen, and don’t forget dessert! Stop by Icecycle Creamery for a delicious scoop of handcrafted ice cream.
For wine and bar options explore the over 40 different wine listings at Esoteric and Reno’s original Kava bar, Sol.
Don’t miss West Street Market’s free summer long concert series, Summer Daze, featuring local Reno bands, spoken word poets and dancers. On Wednesdays, visit the wine bar at Esoteric for, “Wine Away Your Wednesday” tastings. Find a full list of the market’s seasonal events here.
