Fall in love in (and with) Reno Tahoe.

There is no better place to spend a romantic getaway. Whether you are looking for something relaxing or a little more exhilarating, we’ve got you covered, from coffee dates to outdoor adventure. Local adventure experts and real-life lovebirds Laura and Nick Visconti are here to show you how to keep that fire burning. Is it getting warm in here or what? Swoon.

Warm your heart

Cozy up with the one you love at one of the many locally-owned coffee shops in Reno. Laura and Nick love to frequent Old World Coffee in Midtown. If you're craving something sweet, be sure to try the Ginger Spiced Latte from the specialty menu. Other favorite spots include Hub Coffee Roasters, along the Truckee River, Global Coffee in The Basement near downtown Reno, or try one of the many brewing options at Lighthouse Coffee.

Full stomachs and full hearts

Even though Reno is a few hundred miles from the ocean, all-you-can-eat sushi is a way of life around here and is a perfect date night option. Share a variety of mouthwatering sushi at one of the many restaurants including local favorite, Tokyo Shushi, Ijji or Tha Joint (just to name a few!). Treating yourself to a stay at one of our luxurious casino resorts? Most offer all-you-can-eat sushi options as well that are second-to-none. Try something daring or stick to your favorite flavor combinations.

It's getting hot in here

Hot springs are not your typical hot tub experience! Northern Nevada is filled with natural hot springs, and many are maintained and easily accessible. If you're on the go as much as Laura and Nick, a well-deserved soak should be on your agenda. Unwind at Sierra Hot Springs, north of Truckee or Carson Hot Springs, located south of Reno in the state capital. Make it a full spa experience at Steamboat Hot Springs in south Reno, where they offer massages for individuals and couples.

Explore. Dream. Love.

Is there a more beautiful and romantic place than Lake Tahoe? It’s hard to beat the blue waters and snow-capped mountains of this majestic alpine beauty, and the activities are endless. Go for a hike, visit a ski resort, sit by a fire and watch the sunset. Lake Tahoe is truly a magical place perfect for couples seeking adventure.

These is no such thing as a bad view when hiking in Lake Tahoe, and during the winter months, strap on a pair of snowshoes and hit the back country. Check out Tahoe Meadows for snowshoeing or during the warmer months summit Mount Rose. As one of the tallest peaks in the area, you will get a crystal clear view of Lake Tahoe and Reno.
