Calling all Santas! It’s time to take to the streets of the Biggest Little City for the annual Reno Santa Crawl! Kick-off the Christmas season with thousands of Santas as they take over downtown Reno on Saturday, December 10. Here’s what you need to know in order to have a fun and memorable time.
While you can still explore downtown Reno’s eclectic bar scene without a cup, you won’t want to miss out on the all-access opportunity during the event. Your cup gets you drink specials at every participating bar, free cover to all participating clubs, discounted hotel rooms, and access to contests and free giveaways. There are a variety of ways to get your hands on a crawl cup before or during the event. Select costume shops throughout Reno, Sparks and Carson City will have them for purchase starting November 18 (many will only take cash for the cups). This is also your chance to snag the ultimate costume for the big night out!
If you can’t make it to a physical location in advance, order online! You can pick your pre-ordered cup up at the start tent on event night. The start tent is located at the ReTrac Plaza next to the iconic Reno Arch and it’s also where you can purchase a cup the night of.
Start the night under the Reno Arch on Virginia Street at 8:00 p.m. for the iconic Reno Santa Crawl photo. Trust us, you’ll never experience holiday spirit like this anywhere else. From there, the choice is yours!
Some of Reno’s most popular casinos and bars – Aura Ultra Lounge, The Brew Brothers, Ole Bridge Pub and many more – will be providing holiday drink specials during the event. Check out Reno Santa Crawl’s full list of participating casinos and bars that will be helping to keep Santa and his fellow crawlers full of joy this year. Download a digital map here and navigate your way to jolly good times.
After you have crawled through the heart of Reno, you will want a comfortable place to rest that’s within walking distance. THE ROW Reno is offering discounted room rates at their properties so you can rest easy and indulge in luxury all weekend long. Be sure to book early since you won’t be the only Santa ready to kick off their boots after a night of festivities!
Remember Santas, BE SAFE. Don’t drink and drive, stay hydrated and play nice with the rest of the crawlers. You’ll want holiday drinks in your hand not lumps of coal in your stockings. Happy Crawlidays!
