The Biggest Little City revs into high gear for Hot August Nights, the largest classic car and nostalgic event in the country! Thousands of visitors pay tribute to the exquisitely powerful automobiles and electrifying music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The world’s premier classic car event, more than 5,000 vehicles from the golden era of design are showcased with events throughout Reno and Sparks. Restored hot rods and sexy muscle cars give car enthusiasts a first-hand experience of popular decades gone by.
Join the party! Featuring show-n-shines, nightly cruises, drag races, burnouts, classic car auction, AutoCross, auto drifting, swap meet, Vintage Trailer Revival, shopping at the Big Boys Toys Store and The Dazzling Diva, free headline entertainment and so much more.
There will be fantastic legendary musical entertainment and headliners that you won’t want to miss, including Eddie Money, The Greg Kihn Band and Ambrosia! The evening performances start at 8:15pm and take place in two outdoor stage locations, the Grand Sierra Resort and Sparks Victorian Square. Be there or be square and have the time of your life!

The Garage is a new VIP seating area that is located at the outdoor venue at Grand Sierra Resort. This 21+ area provides an enhanced way to experience the free entertainment and events and includes complimentary drinks in a stylish surrounding. One of the anticipated events during Hot August Nights is the collector car auction. Managed by Motorsport Auction Group (MAG), the auction features street rods and classics to special interest and exotic vehicles crossing the block every few minutes. It’s the talk of the trailer park. Located at Rancho San Rafael Park, just north of downtown Reno, its free to the public to view these beautiful vintage trailers, 1976 and older. Some of the owners will camp at the park and participate in a Show-n-Shine with judging by industry experts.
