Sand Harbor
Sand Harbor is without a doubt one of the most picturesque beaches in Lake Tahoe. Though pets are only allowed during the off-season, October 15 through April 15, this beach is absolutely one to check out if you have the chance. This park offers a large and very convenient parking lot for a fee of $10 for Nevada-registered vehicles and $15 for out-of-state registered vehicles and is available in the off-season on a first-come, first-served basis. Though the boat launch ramp at Sand Harbor is dependent on the water levels every season, it is open for kayak and paddleboard launches. So, if you have an adventure pet that loves riding along wherever you go, this is the beach for you.
If you want to get out on the lake, consider taking your dog out on a paddleboard! Our list of Lake Tahoe rental companies includes many that are pet-friendly and even provide life jackets for your furry friend.
