Located 45 miles southwest of South Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood is uniquely located atop the Sierra Crest with elevations ranging from 7,800′ to 9,800′. There are 2,300 acres for skiing and riding, 86 trails and 15 lifts. With terrain ranging from calm, groomed, beginner runs to hair-raising cornices and cliffs, there’s something for everyone at “the Wood.”
The kids-only Magic Carpet area is specifically designed to allow kids to learn to ski in a safe and secure environment. There are also private and group lesson available for adults of all skill level.
The Resort Village offers dining and shopping, and there are 60 kilometers of groomed trails for cross-country and snowshoe adventures.
