Adventures start here.

Play, relax, repeat
Once you land in Reno, you're only minutes from adventure, whether that means grabbing lunch or jumping on a mountain bike. But first, let's drop off those bags and settle into your home-away-from-home at Grand Sierra Resort. This resort offers fun for the entire family, with an outdoor pool and fire pits, a virtual reality arena, a bowling alley, plenty of restaurants and even a driving range. You could truly spend your entire vacation here, but why not get out and explore?!

Two wheels and no worries
With four seasons and a landscape that brings together snow-capped peaks and the wide-open high desert, the outdoor adventures available are truly endless. One of the best ways to cover some ground and access incredible views is on a bike. There are miles of mountain biking trails in the Reno Tahoe area, but since you probably didn't pack your bike, we've got you covered with bike rentals and shuttles. Flume Trail Mountain Bikes rents bikes that you can ride along the East Shore Trail, a paved path that follows Tahoe's shoreline between Incline Village and Sand Harbor, and, during the summer months, offers rentals and shuttles to access the famous Flume Trail. Both trails promise plenty of amazing photo ops.

Dive right in
Escape the hustle and feast your eyes on endless views of crystal clear water as you stretch out on the beach and enjoy a swim in Lake Tahoe. Your nonstop flight got you here in time to pack in plenty of activities, and that refreshing water is sure to chase off any lingering jet lag. The shoreline is peppered with secluded beaches where you can bask in the sun or dive off one of the many granite boulders Tahoe is famous for. A sure bet for lake vibes with plenty of amenities is Sand Harbor State Park. Reserve your spot ahead of time so you can take advantage of parking, restrooms and rental equipment.

Make this trip a home run
There's something different about minor league baseball games - a sense of community, the family-friendly atmosphere and the energy of the fans cheering on their home team. The Reno Aces are the Biggest Little City's Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks and their games always bring an atmosphere of fun. You can find several bars pouring craft beer, classic and more upscale food options, as well as an entire play area for kids. Check out a game and you might just find yourself leaving as one of their newest fans.

Your taste buds will thank you
There's a good chance that Reno's restaurant scene will surprise you... you'll find a little bit of everything and you'll need to come back to even scratch the surface. One must-visit restaurant is Kwok's Bistro - a Yelp Top 100 Restaurant for good reason. The menu offers authentic Asian cuisine, with favorites like roasted duck noodle soup, five spice pork, szechuan lamb and a selection of rice porridges. Not sure what to order? The staff can help you order exactly what you're in the mood for.

Happy hour meets golden hour
Waterfront dining in the desert? Yes, please! Soak in panoramic sunset views at Sparks Water Bar. Their upscale menu and ambiance pair perfectly with the Sierra Nevada mountains to the west and gently lapping waters of the Sparks Marina. It's the perfect place to enjoy happy hour or settle in for a meal you won't soon forget. And make sure to try the famous (or perhaps infamous!) Wet Woody, a refreshing end to the ultimate spring day.
