Experience the sounds and flavors of the South at this FREE street festival on Victorian Square in Sparks. Southern food is the sweetest and most sultry taste around, not to mention the hospitality. Sure be sure to enjoy all of the fixin’s with food & drink vendors, craft beers, live music & entertainment, lots of crafters and a VIP Beer Garden.
All outdoor entertainment at the event is free to enjoy! The sounds of the South will feature area favorites Mumbo Gumbo plus Zydeco, brass and Southern Rock.

Featuring music legend Jerry Lee Lewis performing in the Nugget Ballroom on Saturday, October 13 (8 p.m.). Often described as “rock-n-roll’s first great wild man,” his mega hits, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On and Great Balls of Fire, made the Top Five lists of pop, country and R&B simultaneously! Put the South in your Mouth with all the Southern style, mouth watering food you can handle. Some of the Southern food specialties festival goers can expect at the event include Jambalaya, Po’ Boy sandwiches, fried shrimp, red beans and rice with sausage, alligator, catfish, deep fried pickles and okra, sweet potato pie, pecan pie, grits, beignets, chicken and waffles, sweet tea, Hurricanes and much more, all available for purchase from a wide array of vendors.
There will be a large assortment of craft vendors along the street and Victorian Plaza, and the kids’ area will be located on Victorian Avenue near the Fountainhouse Apartments. The Kids’ area will include a pumpkin patch, pony rides, Free Hay Wagon rides and more.
