Family-Friendly Halloween Festivities
Pumpkin Patches & Corn Mazes
Who doesn’t love a day at a pumpkin patch? And few things are more ”fall” than a corn maze! Lucky for you, several farms in Reno Tahoe offer pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides and more.
The Fall Harvest Festival at Andelin Family Farms is home to many festive fall attractions. Starting in September 2025, enjoy a family-friendly corn maze, animal exhibits and pony/horse rides, a pumpkin patch and U-Pick sunflowers. For the entire month of October, Ferrari Farms welcomes families to their corn maze and pumpkin patch to experience the 27th anniversary of their Fall Festival. Admission is free and the options here are endless, with farm animals, hayrides, a haunted cornfield and more. There's something for kids of all ages to enjoy at the Ferrari Farms Fall Festival.
Beginning September 27, you can join the fun at Lattin Farms as they transform into a celebration for their Fall Festival. Your family can enjoy a hayride tour of the pumpkin patch, a scarecrow factory, a corn maze and so much more.
For a "gourd" time in Carson City, visit Corley Ranch and check out their October Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Patch. Open every day of October, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., families can experience corn and straw mazes, farm animals, miniature golf, pig races, hay wagon rides and more.

Fall Fun with Furry Friends
Animal Ark, a non-profit organization, is a safe haven for wolves, cheetahs, foxes and many other animals located north of Reno. On October 26 and 27, you can enjoy their Harvest Festival, where you and your family can watch the animals receive pumpkins filled with their favorite treats.
Family-Friendly Halloween Events in Reno and Sparks
Take part in the Nevada Museum of Art's monthly Hands ON! event on October 11, where you can enjoy free admission and your budding artist can decorate a sugar skull. Golf, if you dare - The Generator is hosting its annual Haunted Halloween Mini-Golf event in Sparks on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, beginning October 16. Urban Roots - a teaching farm and outdoor learning center - will open its farm for the annual Haunted Hoops event in Reno on October 17-18, with crafts, a haunted house, food trucks and hot cocoa. Don your costumes and visit The Discovery's 14th Annual Halloween Trick or Treat on October 25 for a hauntingly good time.

Haunted Family Fun in Virginia City
Virginia City is no stranger to haunted occurrences and spooky events. Celebrate the whole month of ”Hauntober” in style with all sorts of ghostly events, including Bats in the Belfry guided ghost tours, V&T Railroad Pumpkin Patch Train, safe trick-or-treating, and more. On October 31, dress in your scariest costume and enjoy a family fun day in Virginia City for the Hauntober Parade.
