Sierra-at-Tahoe

Since its inception in 1946, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort has grown into its role as one of Lake Tahoe’s largest resort areas. The resort is located 12 miles west of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50.

Ten chairlifts, including three express quads, serve its 2,000 skiable acres which includes terrain parks and tree skiing. For beginners, there are 11 acres of gentle beginner terrain and the Learn to Ski/Ride Center provides beginner-specific equipment, group lessons, specialized camps and private lessons. Parents can take advantage of the licensed daycare center located at Wild Mountain, which provides care for children ages 18 months to 5 years.

Refuel after a day on the slopes at one of the many dining options located at various convenient locations on the mountain, such as Solstice Eatery, 360 Smokehouse BBQ, Baja Grill, Sierra Pub, Mama’s Kitchen and the Aspen Cafe.

A partnership with Burton Snowboards led to introduction of the Progression Park, an easygoing park experience for beginners. Chairlift rides available for non-skiers.
