October is finally here which means Halloween is terrifyingly close! Reno Tahoe has events lined up all month long to get you in the mood for the spooky season. Whether it’s endless parties, drink specials or costume contests that pique your interest, Reno Tahoe has you covered.
Reno’s largest haunted attraction returns for 2019! Explore the terrifying catacombs beneath Greater Nevada Field as you make your way through Slaughterhouse, or take a ride on the Terror Train, a 10-minute fright-filled ride through the stadium. The Slaughterhouse experience takes place from October 4 to November 2 and is open each Thursday through Saturday in October, as well as October 31 and November 1-2. Looking for a less frightening experience for the kids? Experience Laughter House, complete with a trick-or-treat train and Halloween maze.
Step into another world at this themed, immersive event on Saturday, October 19. To set the scene – rising from the ashes of the 12-21-12 Mayan doomsday, this caravan of nomadic misfits roams the planet gathering more people at every turn, all seeking a kindred experience on the journey to Valhalla. Performers such as sword swallowers, fire performers and fire breathers will be among the oddities.
When it comes to finding the best Reno events and parties this year, find an awesome costume and pick your poison with these fun and spooky events happening at THE ROW in downtown Reno, October 25-26. Get ready to dance to DJ Bird at The Brew Brothers or gather your friends for a sleek and sexy costume party at NoVi, complete with a variety of entertainment. Audioboxx will be performing live at Rumbullions, known for their tasty rum cocktails. DJ Jason Bull will be spinning at Aura Ultra Lounge, where you can dance the night away.
Named one of the best Halloween events to visit Travel + Leisure, the Reno Zombie Crawl is one of the biggest bar crawls in the world. Dress in your zombie best and join the walking dead as they take over downtown Reno on Saturday, October 26. Enjoy food and drink specials, exclusive giveaways and no cover at all of the clubs on the crawl. Start the fun with Thriller Under the Arch – a flash mob-style dance to Michael Jackson’s hit under the Reno Arch. Planning to party the night away? Make a night of it and plan to stay downtown!
