We’re celebrating love in Reno Tahoe during Northern Nevada Pride! In addition to the festival’s parade and activities at Wingfield Park in downtown Reno on July 24, you can find many other ways to celebrate around town. Check out these events that are kicking off the festival and happening all weekend.
Shop for a cause during the Out & About Pride Party supporting OUR Center, Northern Nevada’s LGBTQ+ resource center. Join Yelp and Reno Tahoe’s LGBTQ+ owned and open-to-all businesses who are offering Pride-themed specials with a portion of each sale benefitting OUR Center. Check out salons, restaurants, boutiques and more.
Kick off Pride Week with music and skating at Pride Skate Night at Roller Kingdom on Tuesday, July 20. Grab (or rent) your skates and get ready to spin, salchow and moonwalk around the rink.
Head to downtown Reno on Thursday, July 22 for Pride in the Reno City Plaza. Dress up, bring a chair and some toast (IYKYK) for a showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show starting at 7 p.m. There will be food trucks and other treats available for purchase.
Keep the fun going all weekend at the Midtown Pride Party, July 23-25! Celebrate Pride weekend at The Emerson and Local Beer Works with amazing activities and events, including drag queen bingo, live DJs and drag performances. There will be food trucks and both bars will be offering drink specials starting Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.
You won’t want to miss Drag Brunch at Cafe Whitney after the Northern Nevada Pride parade on Saturday, July 24. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with a live performance by the Haus of Does Moore. Following brunch, it’s a short walk to Wingfield Park for Pride festivities throughout the afternoon. Make a weekend of it and book Whitney Peak’s Pride Package, complete with a rainbow room glow-up including balloons, confetti and streamers.
We can’t forget the main event – Northern Nevada Pride on Saturday, July 24. The festival begins with a parade through downtown Reno, followed by an entire day of fun at Wingfield Park. There will be food vendors, live music and special guests.
It’s not a party without an after-party, and the After Party at THE POOL at Grand Sierra Resort is the perfect way to wrap up Pride weekend in Reno. On Sunday, July 25, cool off at the official after-party with free admission for Pride attendees.
