Spring Skiing Events in Reno Tahoe

Spring in Reno Tahoe means tons of fun and sun on the mountains. Check out these upcoming events to make the most of your spring skiing season.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe

“Ski” G. I. F. at Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe! Extend your day on the slopes until 6 p.m. on Fridays for even more thrills and chills on the mountain. Additionally, Mt. Rose offers $59 tickets on Fridays after noon.

The Pond is on! Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe is hosting their pond skim on Saturday, April 27 at 12 p.m. Space is limited, as 100 lucky skimmers will be randomly selected to compete in the big show. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Heavenly Mountain Resort

Save the date for Heavenly Mountain Resort‘s Pond Skim on Sunday, April 7! Dress in your best spring attire and participate in this iconic pond skim to have a ‘beachin’ time at Heavenly, with food and drink, giveaways and more. The pond skim takes place from 1-3 p.m., with an après party featuring live music following after.

Palisades Tahoe

Sure, dual days are fun, but what about golfing on the mountain? Palisades Tahoe presents the Alpine’s 38th Annual Snow Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this unique spring event is highly anticipated.

Kirkwood Ski Resort

Make a splash by attempting to cruise across the pond skim at Kirkwood‘s Slush Cup on Saturday, April 13. Bring your floaties and best retro ski gear to celebrate a renewed spring tradition. The competition runs from 1-3 p.m.

Sugar Bowl Resort

Head to Sugar Bowl Ski Resort on Saturday, April 27 for their most legendary party of the season, the Tiki Pond Skim, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the Village Lodge base area. Whether you’re skimming the pond or just observing, you’re sure to have a blast with live music, a pop up tiki bar, and a snow beach viewing area to watch the action.
