Travel Advisories and Updates

On Tuesday, March 17, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses throughout the State of Nevada. This order includes hotels and casinos, and is being implemented in an effort to flatten the curve and slow the national spread of COVID-19. The Reno Tahoe team understands the necessity for these sweeping actions, and we applaud the swift and comprehensive actions of Governor Sisolak and the Washoe County Health District, and we are grateful for the tireless efforts of Nevada’s healthcare professionals and first responders. It is our hope that the lack of activity in the coming weeks will help expedite the national and global recovery, in an effort to return to normal when it is deemed safe to do so.

As businesses begin to reopen, it is important to know of any possible restrictions before you visit – restaurants, bars and stores are operating under new protocols, and the area’s trails may have restrictions in place depending on which city, county, state or federal entity manages the space. All Reno Tahoe businesses are important to supporting regional tourism! We are all in this together. #StayHomeForNevada
