Audiences are in awe hearing Classical Tahoe’s superb musicians perform in an intimate outdoor pavilion under the Tahoe sky. The July-August festival offers 17 orchestra, chamber music and jazz concerts on the campus of Sierra Nevada University in Incline Village, Nevada. The Classical Tahoe Pavilion is an intimate 400-seat amphitheater under the pines with just seventeen rows it provides the audience with the most intimate acoustic orchestra experience in America. The Classical Tahoe Orchestra features 70 virtuoso musicians – more than half of whom are principal players – from the MET Opera Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, LA Phil, symphonies of San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Dallas, Toronto, SF and Zurich Opera Orchestras and more.
The 2022 Festival features the world’s most talented musicians, soloists, composers and conductors, including GRAMMY-winning soprano Isabel Leonard, GRAMMY-nominated violinist Tessa Lark, Cuban pianist and composer Aldo López-Gavilán, Bulgarian percussionist Svet Stoyanov, and a world premiere by GRAMMY-nominated composer Jake Heggie. Maestros Jonathan Darlington, David Chan, and Ken-David Masur will take the podium for the 11th season. Brubeck Jazz Summit faculty artists include Chad LB, saxophone, Sean Jones, trumpet, Chris Brubeck, trombone, Connie Han, piano, Gilad Hekselman, guitar, Eric Harland, drums, Dan Brubeck, drums, Rodney Whitaker, bass. The Classical Tahoe Music Institute and the Brubeck Jazz Summit engage musicians and audiences of all ages and abilities.
