When you plan or attend an event at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Reno Events Center, National Bowling Stadium or the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, your health and safety is our priority. Current health and safety protocols in place are in accordance with the CDC, Nevada OSHA, Washoe County and other relevant agencies. Reno event facilities have equipment and signage throughout to ensure the continued health and safety of event attendees, including:

• 12 infrared thermometers
• 54 hand sanitizer stations
• Packs of hand sanitizer wipes for staff and attendees
• 8 backpack sprayers
• More than 380 Thank You for Covering Your Face floor signs
• More than 380 Thank You for Social Distancing floor signs
• More than 190 Sanitize Your Hands floor signs

The Reno-Sparks Convention Center also achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, the RSCVA has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training, and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program verifies that the Reno-Sparks Convention Center implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics. To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, RSCVA was required to demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
