Reno Tahoe is a close-knit community, one that values our local businesses and all they bring to our city and our region as a whole. During these challenging times, many businesses are finding creative ways to continue to serve their customers while keeping the health and safety of everyone as a priority. Hey, if we as a city are anything, it’s creative and resourceful!
Several local restaurants quickly made the shift from dine-in service to curbside pickup or delivery with statewide restrictions set in place. Some restaurants are open for dine-in, with a limited number of tables and reservations required, so check the status of your favorite spots on social media or call ahead. You can find a list of restaurants, coffee shops and breweries offering pickup or delivery services on the local Yelp page. If you want to try your hand at making a few of your favorite dishes at home, check out these recipes from some local restaurants.
While we are finding ourselves with slightly different shopping habits these days, it’s still possible to support our local shops and boutiques. If you have a favorite local shop, check out their website or social channels to see if they are now offering online shopping or pickup options, or consider buying a gift card to use later. This may be the perfect time to get a head start on your holiday gift shopping!
Is your gym temporarily closed? Don’t cancel that membership (remember those resolutions?!) – see if they are offering any online workouts or virtual classes.
We are fortunate to have a vibrant and eclectic mix of local businesses and encourage our community to continue to support them.
