Nov. 21-Dec. 31 From the internationally-acclaimed producers of “The Illusionists,” “Circus 1903” and “Cirque Le Noir” comes an entertainment blockbuster set to dazzle The Eldorado Theatre. December 2-3 Singing, dancing, Santa Claus and more! This is a holiday performance you won’t want to miss. See the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Dr. Jason Altieri perform orchestral arrangements, jazzy numbers and traditional holiday tunes in an event that will have you jingle all the way. This classic holiday celebration will play to packed houses for three shows including a matinee and evening performance on Saturday, December 2 and a matinee on Sunday, December 3.
December 2-3 Family favorite and visual masterpiece, The Nutcracker will play at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino! Fans of tradition know that the holiday season isn’t a success once you experience the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (and have the melody stuck in your head until New Year’s Day.) December 7 An enchanting holiday celebration for the entire family, featuring stunning Irish dance and music. Written by Amanda Coulson, director and choreographer of the Reno Irish Dance Company and founder of Dancin! Performing Arts Center in Reno, SIAMSA – A Celtic Christmas is a heartwarming tale and charming celebration of Celtic traditions, superstitions, customs, as well as amusing antics guaranteed to entertain the entire family.
December 8-10 The stage at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts will be alive with a sugar plum fairy and dancing mice as A.V.A. Ballet Theatre presents the annual Nutcracker Ballet on December 8, 9 and 10. A special Sugar Plum party will be held after the Saturday and Sunday afternoon performances where children can meet the Nutcracker characters.
December 10 Get into the holiday spirit with Pink Martini featuring lead singer China Forbes! The show will be a lively evening of song from their holiday album ‘Joy to the World’ as well as songs from new album ‘Je dis oui!’ and old favorites from the band’s 23 year career.
December 18-28 Borealis, A Holiday Spectacle is the most modern and exciting holiday show to entertain audiences in recent years.
