Following his departure from SNL in 1992, Miller hosted The Dennis Miller Show. The show, among the first “alternative” talk shows, featured cutting-edge bands and other groundbreaking guests not seen on other late night programs. Miller had great success on cable television (HBO) with the Emmy Award-winning Dennis Miller Live (1994-2002), a comedy-talk show that included "rants" about social and political issues, each ending with the line "Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong." In 2000 he began a two season run as a commentator for NFL Monday Night Football while keeping his name in the news as Democrat-basher and supporter of President George W. Bush. His commentary was sprinkled with esoteric references such as after a Hail Mary pass fell incomplete, he would say “Hail Mary is denied-separation of church and state.” Miller was immediately embraced by political conservatives and ended up with a gig on the Fox News talk show Hannity & Colmes, followed by his own short-lived show on cable television (2004-05). A frequent guest on the Fox News network, Miller began hosting his own syndicated radio show in early 2007.
Most recently, Miller has been hosting a live-stream; three-hour radio broadcast called The Dennis Miller Show. The program includes series discussions about American culture, current events, politics and their place in the global context. Infused with Millers’ sarcasm and laid-back style, most shows feature three guests from the worlds of politics, sports and entertainment. Frequent guests include Dana Carvey, Jon Lovitz and Ann Coulter.
Stand-up comedian, political commentator, actor, radio personality and author are some of the things he has dabbled in over his 35+ years in entertainment.
