The Luck o’ the Irish – Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

Visitors can tap into Irish history and culture this St. Patrick’s Day at various local, festive events! Foodies, nightlife enthusiasts and athletes of all stripes have plenty to celebrate. The Luck of the Irish lands in Reno Tahoe.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations at THE ROW

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all weekend long across Eldorado, Circus Circus and Silver Legacy. The Brew Brothers, Millie’s and Rum Bullions are offering food and drink specials all month long. Participate in downtown’s nightlife scene and enjoy themed libations and entertainment during THE ROW’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, March 15-17.

Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry

The historic mining town of Virginia City goes “nuts” for St. Patrick’s Day! The 33rd Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry on March 16 features marching leprechauns, green attractions, and Rocky Mountain Oysters (a delicacy made up of beef and sheep testicles). It’s a fun-filled day of unique eating as professional and amateur chefs compete for the most creative and unique dishes. Cooks from around the West serve up Rocky Mountain Oysters by grilling, frying or smoking them to perfection. It’s a full-on Irish Festival with a beer garden, live Irish music, individual and team oyster-eating contests, a parade and the Ballbreaker Saloon Crawl.

Reno Riverwalk District’s Wine Walk

Every month you can sip wine as you stroll through downtown, but this month’s event on March 16 is celebrating all things Irish. Get a St. Patrick’s Day-themed glass and explore local businesses as you drink with friends.

Reno Leprechaun Crawl

The magic returns to downtown Reno on March 16 with the Reno Leprechaun Crawl. Reno’s bar crawl scene is widely celebrated. For those who haven’t experienced it, think of them as massive costume parties for people who want to tour Reno’s nightlife in off-the-wall style. Crawlers can dress in their best green outfit and receive commemorative cups with a map that shows you where to go and what to do. Additionally, these cups provide access to awesome exclusive deals at 20 locations!

Annual Leprechaun Race

Can you beat the leprechaun? Runners and walkers alike can sign up for the Leprechaun Race 5K run and walk through MidTown District and Wells Avenue on March 17, hosted by Reno Running Company. All racers can receive specials at Hub Coffee Roasters, Pinon Bottle Co., Reno Running Company and Noodle Box Company by showing off their race bib.

Cafe Whitney

Indulge in St. Patrick’s Day specials this year at Whitney Peak Hotel. Cafe Whitney is serving up a delicious menu packed with flavor. Start with the Shot & Beer, followed by sharing the Irish nachos and finishing with the Corned Beef & Cabbage. Wash it down with a Guinness Float made with housemade Bailey’s ice cream! Don’t forget to check out the Green with Envy Drag Brunch with Haus of Does Moore on March 9!

Sometimes you just want to spend St. Patrick’s Day in a pub listening to Irish music while drinking Guinness. Celebrate at local Irish pubs Ceol Irish Pub and O’Skis Pub & Grille, or create your own Irish Pub bar crawl!
