In honor of the many words of wisdom and encouragement over the year’s from good ol’ Pops, it’s time to show him how much you listened. Tread Dad to a day catered to him, and show him how much his little reminders have stuck with us through the years.
Shut down your computer, step away from the TV, set down your phone (unless your snapping a father-son/daughter photo), and refresh in the great outdoors.
Hike, kayak, bike, boat, paddle board, bum on the beach… just get outside!

Their staff of professionals will be showing their complete line of clubs, and even custom-fitting clubs right there on-site! Dad can fantasize over the latest drivers, irons, wedges and putters on the driving range, followed by the entire family can playing a round on Wildcreek’s beautiful 18-hole championship course.

Dad taught us to never be afraid of trying something new or to make an adjustment when things don’t go exactly as planned. Give him something new to try this Father’s day – or help him relax.
For foodie father, check out Sparks’ newest summer event – The Sparks Food Truck Drive-In.
Literally, get Dad to be more flexible and treat him to a spa day, yoga day (paddle board yoga, anyone?) or stretch his limits with a day of rock climbing. Spa Toscana has a Bourbon-inspired treatment this time of year or get dirty with a mud wrap at Atlantis.
Speaking of dirt…..
Show up at Country Crossroads with a little mud on your boots and you’ll fit right in! Eli Young Band, Terry Clark and Neal McCoy will be headlining the three-day celebration of great country music. In addition to the performances, enjoy the weekend-long western experience with the Redneck Rodeo Truck Show, the Cowboy (bar) Crawl, and the Country Crossroads party at Gilley’s Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que.
Octane Fest will have dirt and adrenaline flying. Spectators at this year’s Octane Fest will be treated to brand new events that will have race fans on the edge of their seats. The festival includes King of the West Sprint Cars at Rattlesnake Raceway, top fuel drag racing at Top Gun Raceway, and a jamboree featuring monster trucks, a truck and tractor pull, freestyle motocross, and a fireworks finale.
Dad is always making sure his kids are enjoying life, even if it gets him in trouble with mom every once in awhile. Reno Tahoe USA is the perfect place to celebrate Father’s Day with the whole family.
For an official Father’s Day event, check out the Pops Party Concert. The beautiful back lawn of the Governor’s Mansion is the site of the Carson City Symphony’s 30th annual Pops Party Concert. The program features the Carson City Symphony, Carson City Symphony Chorus, Youth Strings and guest singer.
If you can’t make it to Reno Tahoe this weekend, Dad’s love Reno Tahoe year-round.
