The Chinese New Year 2019 is approaching, making the change from the Year of the Dog to the Year of the Pig. In Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth.

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa – Chinese New Year Celebration

On Saturday, February 23, Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is celebrating the Chinese New Year with an all-you-can-eat buffet, a traditional Chinese lion dance, and an incredible performance by Melody of China, San Francisco’s Premiere Chinese chamber music ensemble. The buffet features will include traditional Asian dining options such as Hot & Sour Soup, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Sweet & Sour Pork, Chinese Pork Ribs and more! Will Call begins at 4 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m.

THE ROW – Chinese New Year

From February 14 to February 18, Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus are celebrating the Lunar New Year! The festivities include Asian cuisine specials and spectacular lion dances.
The Buffet at the Eldorado will feature an assortment of appetizers and entrees from February 14 – 17. Leung’s White Crane Lion Dance Association will perform traditional Lion Dances that are custom to Chinese cultural festivals. Multiple performances will take place at the Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus from February 16 – 18.

Other live entertainment:
The Chinese New Year celebration includes Hacken Lee 30th Anniversary Concert (a legendary singer from Hong Kong) at the Reno Events Center on February 17 at 8 p.m.
