Saddle Up for the Reno Rodeo
Grab the bull by the horns at the Reno Rodeo, one of the summer’s most-anticipated events. From June 15-24, there is fun for the entire family at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center with carnival games and rides, numerous food tents, Western shopping and, of course, a variety of exciting rodeo events. Dust off your boots and watch some of the country’s most talented cowboys and cowgirls battle it out in the arena during the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West!”
Get in the mood for the rodeo at the Reno Rodeo Kick-Off Concert on June 14, featuring LOCASH and Dustin Lynch. Sing along to number-one country hits, including “Hell of a Night,” “Cowboys and Angels,” “Mind Reader” and “Seein Red.” LOCASH is a rising duo in country music with their hit single “I Know Somebody.”
A 98-Year Tradition
For 98 years, the Reno Rodeo has been packed with wild events and entertainment for the crowd. See the best professional bull riders take on the most challenging bulls at the Xtreme Bull Riding event on June 15 at 7 p.m. Other competition throughout the rodeo includes bareback riding, steer wrestling, women’s barrel racing and professional bull riding, just to name a few. Most events start in the arena at 7 p.m. In addition to the exciting cowboy and cowgirl competition, you won’t want to miss the cattle drive, Cowboy Church, Extreme Mustang Makeover and Reno Rodeo Kids’ Day.
Kids of all ages, and kids-at-heart, will love the carnival fun before or after the rodeo action. Test your luck to win fun prizes, get your heart racing on one of the many exciting rides, or indulge in some traditional carnival food.
