Reno Shopping

Meadowood Mall

Meadowood Mall is a Reno shopping staple. Conveniently located in the center of Reno, Meadowood Mall offers something for everyone. Shoppers will be delighted with more than 100 stores, specialty retailers, salons, and restaurants to explore in a conveniently located indoor environment. Some retailers include American Eagle Outfitters, Express, Coach, Forever 21, Pandora, Silver & Blue Outfitters and more.

MidTown District

MidTown is a growing Reno shopping scene with a myriad of locally-owned stores. With more than 20 shops ranging from thrift shops and boutiques to bookstores, this area has everything. Stop by Natural Selection to shop their selection of plants, home decor and unique curiosities. Sticks is a center filled with distinct shops such as Nomad Boutique and Sierra Belle. Another local favorite is Sundance Bookstore, where book lovers can find both best sellers and a selection of local books.

Outlets at Legends

Once you’ve done all your shopping in Reno, head to The Outlets at Legends located at the Legends at Sparks Marina. This beautiful shopping, dining and entertainment destination is located just minutes from downtown Reno and offers top shopping in a fresh, upscale outdoor setting bursting with appealing amenities.

Big brand outlets such as the Adidas Outlet, Banana Republic Factory, Carter’s Outlet, Express Factory Outlet, Gap Factory, Guess Factory and the Nike Factory offer up to 25-70 percent off everyday prices. Also at the Legends at Sparks Marina is SCHEELS, a 248,000-square-foot retail space with a 65-foot tall Ferris Wheel, two 16,000-gallon aquariums, 32+ flavors of fudge in the Fudge Factory, 14 presidents in the Walk of Presidents, a NASCAR Simulator and a 35-foot tall Wildlife Mountain.

And there’s more to Outlets at Legends than shopping! Catch a movie at the Galaxy IMAX theatre or catch some air at DEFY Sparks, an indoor trampoline experience that will have the entire family jumping for joy.

Riverwalk District

Located along the Truckee River, the Riverwalk District offers many dining and shopping options. The Basement is an unexpected experience of the senses built beneath the historic 1933 U.S. Post Office. You can find unique storefronts, a coffee shop, fitness center and even a speakeasy in this underground venue. Shop for Reno-inspired souvenirs at Home Means Nevada (also home to the Reno Tahoe Visitors Center!) or hunt for something truly unique at Antiques and Treasures.

The Summit

If you’re shopping in Reno, what better way to do it than with a view of beautiful Mt. Rose? Located at the south end of Reno on Mt. Rose Highway, The Summit is an open-air lifestyle shopping center with more than 70 shops, specialty retailers, salons, and restaurants to satisfy any palate. Its courtyards feature fountains, paths and fire pits to gather around on cool evenings, and seasonal features such as live music during summer evenings.

The Summit offers a wide variety of shopping and dining that will please even the most demanding patron and is also home to a farmer’s market that is held Tuesdays and Saturdays June through September. Some retailers include Apple, Bath & Body Works, Lululemon Athletica, M·A·C Cosmetics, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, Pottery Barn and more.

Lake Tahoe Shopping

If you’ve hit all the shops and malls in Reno, head up to the Lake Tahoe area for some unique finds. Lake Tahoe shopping is divided up over a wide area, so it’s best to do your research before you go. You might not be able to hit every shopping spot in one trip.

Incline Village has more offerings when it comes to photography studios, furniture and one-of-a-kind gifts. You’re bound to find some unique stuff, from handmade items to interesting thrifts and costumes. Check out Boatworks Mall in Tahoe City or take a quick ten-minute drive to the Village at Palisades Tahoe, where unique boutiques and specialty shops like Lather & Fizz Bath Boutique, Patagonia and Spirits of the Valley await.

Truckee offers a variety of shops. Gift stores, clothing boutiques and hobby stores are just some of the shopping to check out. And if you like street fairs, Truckee hosts Truckee Thursdays each year from June to August. It’s a great event to check out if you’re into food trucks, shopping and live music.
