LOCAL POKER MANAGER EARNS SPOT IN WOMAN'S POKER HALL OF FAME
The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) and the Eldorado Hotel Casino are proud to announce Poker Room Manager Margie Heintz has been selected as a 2011 inductee to the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. As one of five finalists, Heintz and two others will be honored at a ceremony in Las Vegas on September 2.
Heintz is credited with being the first woman to ever deal at the famous World Series of Poker. Through the first several tournament rounds she was so highly recommended she was invited to deal the final table. In front of a national audience and covered by the CBS Wide World of Sports, Heintz dealt the championship round of the tournament, opening the door for women in the poker industry across the nation.
