Lay Down

Enjoy one of Reno's world-class dog-friendly hotels where you and your best friend can relax after a long day of exploring.

The Biggest Little City loves its furry guests and has many dog-friendly hotels to choose from. Whitney Peak Hotel will put your dog in a frenzy by welcoming them with their own “Doggie Bag” filled with healthy treats, toys and accessories. Loki can attest that everything was delicious. Another great pet-friendly hotel is the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel. This upscale property is in a prime downtown location along the Truckee River. Any of Reno Tahoe's pet-friendly hotels will serve as the perfect sanctuary for you and your best friend to unwind after an adventure-filled day.

Chow Time

Grab a bite to eat and bring your best pal along. Wild River Grille welcomes dogs on their patio overlooking the Truckee River, and on Mondays, a portion of your bill will be donated to the Nevada Humane Society. Head to West Street Market, with their dog-friendly outdoor plaza, and order up a delicious lunch or dinner from Sabrina's West Street Kitchen or any of the other amazing restaurants that share the plaza. If you and your pup find yourselves in Midtown, the patio outside Noble Pie Midtown is dog-friendly so you can enjoy a slice of pizza (and maybe slip your travel buddy a little treat).

Take the Scenic Route

Nothing will mean more to your furry friend than letting them stretch their legs in the Sierras or explore the urban beauty of Reno. Grab a cup of coffee at Hub Coffee Roasters and then take a stroll along the Truckee River into downtown Reno. Enjoy beautiful public art along the way at the Sculpture Garden in Bicentennial Park and stop by the BELIEVE sign at City Plaza to take an Insta-worthy photo. With the Sierra Nevada mountains just minutes from downtown, pick a trail and log some miles while admiring the beauty of Northern Nevada. If your dog loves the water, Sand Harbor State Park in Incline Village is dog-friendly during the winter months. This picturesque beach is the perfect place to let your dog play in the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe.

Paw-Some Activities

Treat your pet to a day of activities that will make them run and jump for joy. During the summer, the Reno Aces host Dog Days throughout their season. You can bring your pup and watch the game from the grassy area near the outfield. A visit to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is another outing your dog will love. They can run wild with new friends in the park's 25-acre off-leash dog park. A wide-open field and some doggie friends? What more can your pet ask for? Reno Tahoe offers plenty of dog-friendly activities to keep you and your pup entertained.
