Celebrate Derby Day in Reno Tahoe

Let’s go back in time and party like it’s 1875! The Kentucky Derby is the longest-running sporting event in the United States and Reno Tahoe would like to celebrate in big ways on Saturday, May 6th at participating bars and casinos. Join the Depot at their Third Annual “Ring in Spring” Kentucky Derby Party! Great brunch and lunch specials will be be served from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., with drink specials including all-you-can-drink mimosas and The Depot’s own Ranch Hand American Ale for $20, $5 Biggest Little Bourbon Mint Juleps, outdoor music and much more!

Chapel Tavern

Starting at noon, Chapel Tavern will be celebrating with $5 juelps, appetizers, a photo booth and betting games. Derby attire is highly encouraged.

Peppermill Reno

Watch the Derby on huge viewing screens throughout the Naples Ballroom inside the Peppermill. You can place your bets at surrounding betting stations. $50 minimum. Races begin at 8:00 A.M.

Watch The Reno Chamber Orchestra perform inside the Tuscany Ballroom at 12:30 p.m. along with a luncheon and mint juleps. Get your tickets here.

Watch the race live at the Grand Theatre, Sports Book, and throughout the casino. Food and drink specials will be available.
