Try the latest sport whose popularity can’t be contained in Reno Tahoe USA! While Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released in theaters this week, release your inner Katniss Everdeen or Peeta Mallark at Wasting Arrows – Reno Tahoe’s archery range. Shoot – you’ll be hooked!
The high demand sport’s popularity has increased by 54% in the past five years, thanks to popular movies, games and the heated competition at the last Summer Olympics.
Avid archers themselves, husband and wife team Lystra and Deana Pitts opened Wasting Arrows in November of 2012, and are Certified USA Archery (USAA), National Field Archery Association (NFAA), and National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) archery instructors, plus officers of the Nevada Bowhunters Association (NBHA). They provide a safe environment for a wide range of skill levels, from beginner to expert.
Wasting Arrows has 22 archery lanes with equipment available for rental or purchase. Family night, date night, birthday parties, classes and events are all offered.
For the more advanced archer, league and tournament shooting is available at Wasting Arrows. Featuring quality Spyderweb targets for high-speed compound bows, plus aerial targets thrown by a Laporte Archery Trap Machine – the only in the region.
