Phil Delone

President and CEO

Phil DeLone is the President and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority. Through direction of the Board, Mr. DeLone plans, coordinates, directs, and is responsible for all activities associated with the operation of the RSCVA and its facilities. Most recently the CEO of Safari Club International, DeLone has more than 35 years of experience in tourism, sales, marketing and management, including 20 years of executive sales and management experience at Reno Tahoe hotels.

Jennifer Cunningham - Executive Vice President

Jennifer Cunningham is the Executive Vice President of Marketing for the RSCVA. In her role, Ms. Cunningham is responsible for developing and coordinating the communication, public information, website, social media, creative aspects of the RSCVA. A native Nevadan, Ms. Cunningham has previously worked for the RSCVA as Director of Marketing for the National Bowling Stadium as well as in Tourism Sales. Returning to the RSCVA in 2010, Ms. Cunningham was previously with Circus Circus Casino as Director of Sales, Advertising, Casino Marketing and Entertainment. With more than 30 years of experience, she has long been an integral part of the northern Nevada gaming community. Ms. Cunningham holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Marketing, from San Francisco State University. She is a recipient of the ACE Award “Marketer of the Year,” from the American Marketing Association. An active member of the community, Jennifer has served on the Board of Directors for the Educational Alliance of Washoe County and the Education Foundation. She is currently a board member of EDAWN, the Reno Arts Commission Marketing Committee and the Regional Air Service Corporation.

Mike Larragueta - Vice President of Sales

Vice President of Sales

Mike Larragueta is the Vice President of Sales for the RSCVA. Larragueta directs and mentors the RSCVA convention and leisure sales teams, while providing leadership and strategic direction in the implementation of the RSCVA’s plans, programs, goals and objectives in the convention and leisure marketplace. With more than 25 years of tourism sales experience, Larragueta was most recently the Executive Director of Sales for Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus, the 4,200-room, casino-resort triplex known as the “Tri Properties” of downtown Reno. Bringing international gaming resort experience to northern Nevada, Larragueta served as Vice President of Global Distribution Sales for Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas. The megaresort is one of the most luxurious in the Caribbean, with more than 2,200 rooms and suites in four world class properties. Larragueta also spent more than a decade leading successful sales efforts for several Las Vegas-based resorts, including the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, The Palms Casino Resort, and the 7,000-unit, all-suites Venetian | Palazzo Las Vegas. Originally from Winnemucca, Larragueta is a third-generation Nevadan, and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Brian Rivers

Brian Rivers

Director of Finance

Brian Rivers is the Director of Finance of the RSCVA, where he started as an intern in 1998 and worked as an Accounting Manager for more than a decade. Mr. Rivers is responsible for proper tax collection and distribution, preparation of annual financial reports and administrative operations; including, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Mr. Rivers earned his Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a graduate of Douglas High School.

Sheri Nill - Director of Human Resources

Sheri Nill

Director of Human Resources

Sheri Nill has 17 years of experience as a Human Resources professional. She holds an MBA and two national Human Resource certifications - PHR and SHRM-CP. Sheri has spent much of her career working for industry leaders in healthcare and hospitality; HCA, Prime Healthcare (Saint Mary’s) and The Signature at MGM Las Vegas. Her expertise is in Union negotiations, labor relations and employment law. Sheri and her husband, Victor, relocated from southern California four years ago and love living in Reno.
