Marriage License Information
STATE OF NEVADA
In the state of Nevada a minister will be needed to perform the wedding ceremony and sign your wedding license. For your convenience wedding chapels usually have non-denominational ministers on staff. Nevada marriage license can be obtained seven days a week at the following offices:

Hours: 8 AM to 12 Midnight, 365 days a year

Incline Village Office
General Improvement District office, 893 Southwood Blvd, Incline Village
Hours: 8am-12pm & 1pm-5pm Monday through Friday
Fees: $60, VISA or MasterCard only
Douglas County Lake Tahoe Administration Building
175 Highway 50, Stateline, Nevada
Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
10:00 am - 4:00 pm Saturdays and Holidays (including Christmas Eve). Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Application Fee: $60. Cash, travelers' checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted. An additional $15 is charged for a certified copy.
- Identification: A valid driver's license, a certified copy of a birth certificate, passport, or Military ID.
- Waiting Period: None
- Blood Test: None
- Expiration Date: One year from the date of issue
- Age Requirements: 18 years of age or older Note: All fees subject to change
There are several ways to obtain your marriage license on the California side of Lake Tahoe. If you are a resident of California, you may bring a California License with you (must be a Public License). The cost for the Public License is $50.

El Dorado County Clerk's Office - South Lake Tahoe
3368 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Suite 108 in the El Dorado Center
Hours: 8:00 am - 11:30 am and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Placer County - North Lake Tahoe
5225 N. Lake Blvd., Carnelian Bay, Ca 96140 in office of Health and Human Services
Hours: By appointment only M-F 9am-11:30 am
Cost: $56.00; payment must be exact cash or a check
