Marriage License Information
STATE OF NEVADA
In the state of Nevada a minister will be needed to perform the wedding ceremony and sign your wedding license. For your convenience wedding chapels usually have non-denominational ministers on staff. Nevada marriage license can be obtained seven days a week at the following offices:
Reno Office

- Application Fee: $60. Cash, travelers' checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted. An additional $15 is charged for a certified copy.
Identification: A valid driver's license, a certified copy of a birth certificate, passport, or Military ID.- Waiting Period: None
- Blood Test: None
- Expiration Date: One year from the date of issue

CALIFORNIA
There are several ways to obtain your marriage license on the California side of Lake Tahoe. If you are a resident of California, you may bring a California License with you (must be a Public License). The cost for the Public License is $50.
