Galena Creek Park
Location: Mt. Rose Highway
About 10 miles to the southwest of Reno is another beautiful spot in the desert at the foot of the Sierras. Only an hour from the pluvial landscape of Pyramid Lake the scenery changes drastically to the forested, mountainous terrain of Galena Creek Park. In the winter, Galena Creek is a great place for your snow adventures.
Lake Tahoe area
Sledding area for children of all ages. Saucers provided.
Granlibakken Ski Resort
Location: Tahoe City
Area for saucers only. Rentals available, fee charged for day use.
Location: South Lake Tahoe
Two 400 ft. long trails with banked turns. All equipment is furnished. Located on Ski Run Blvd. near Heavenly.
Kirkwood Kids Adventure Zone
Enjoy the large open flats and scattered peaks of the Tahoe Meadows and surrounding areas. Located at the top of Mt. Rose Highway (Hwy. 431), you will find a large undeveloped area great for snowshoeing, cross-country and backcountry skiing, and sledding.
North Tahoe Regional Park
Location: Tahoe Vista
Hill for sleds, saucers, tubes, etc. $5 fee. Located at the end of National Ave.
Northstar at Tahoe
Snow tubing hill with lift system. Clothing also available.
Large area at the corner of Hwy 50 and Hwy 28. Bring your own equipment.
Snow tube area that offers tow system and special runs with banked turns. Easier runs also available.
Snow tubing hill accessible by a rope tow system. Located at the High Camp at Squaw Valley ski resort.
