IRONMAN Lake Tahoe

Kings Beach State Recreation Area and Squaw Valley
September 21, 2014

Watch athletes from all over the globe compete in the iconic 2nd annual IRONMAN Lake Tahoe. The series is known as the largest participation sports platform in the world, and those world's strongest and best athletics will converge on the uncomparable setting of Lake Tahoe.

The Lake Tahoe event is a tough course and begins with a 2.4 mile open water swim at King's Beach, a 112 mile bike course over Broadway Summit that includes over 8,000ft of climbing, then a full marathon, which ends at the cobbled streets of Squaw Valley, home to the 1960 Winter Olympics. All this at 6000 ft elevation!  This is an adrenalin charged event you'll want to see in person.
