Regarded as one of the most comprehensive arts festivals in the country by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Artown offers over 500 events ranging from live music, dance, theater and performances to visual arts, workshops, multicultural events, fashion shows, and tours. The Festival brings distinguished artists from around the world, across the country and those that live in our community all for the sake of cultural diversity and artistic innovation. The cornerstone of the festival is it’s free events; more than 60%, including the popular Opening Night (July 1) and Closing Night (August 1) concerts in Wingfield Park.
Artown events take place in various locations throughout Reno, Sparks, but the festival’s main location is scenic Wingfield Park, located along the Truckee River in downtown Reno.

Sherrie Austin, opens with a fresh and current edge in her voice and style Then rock the night with Mountain Heart who will make an undeniable connection to the audience. Mountain Heart has revolutionized the way acoustic music can be presented and played.
Each Monday evening (5-7pm) Artown hosts this opportunity for families with young children to enjoy, experience and explore. Activities include face painting, mural painting, literary readings, balloon art, and several other art activates. Then from 7-8pm, there will be live performances in the Amphitheatre.

Ozomatli is a seven piece band playing primarily Latin, hip hop, and rock music, formed in 1995 in Los Angeles. They are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and their wide array of musical styles - including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, rap, and others.
