Off-road racing fans, get ready for some high desert action!
This High Desert Racing Association (HDRA) event will feature 500 MILES of thrilling off-road racing, making this the longest off-road race in the United States. Activities leading up to race day include an off-road expo, performances by the Monster Freestyle MX Team featuring riders from the X-Games and the Ninja Stunt Team, race car displays, autograph signing, and live entertainment.
This will redefine what an off-road event can be for racers and fans. The Fireworks 500 will be the perfect destination for the entire family. The Tahoe-Reno area offers some of the best recreational opportunities in the western US including sightseeing, river rafting on the Truckee river, lake and stream fishing, boating, hiking, waterparks, shows, dining and the Off-Road Racing Hall of Fame. There will also be several fireworks displays in the area to celebrate our independence on the Fourth.

The Tahoe-Reno Motorplex is located just 16 miles from Reno and sits on 130 square miles of private property, offering canyons, washes and ridgelines. Take exit 32 (USA Parkway) and follow it for about 4 miles, past the Tahoe Reno Tech Center.
The layout of the course is in a cloverleaf shape which is great for the spectators who will see each vehicle several times on every lap. Fans will be treated to an incredible spectating experience on top of a long, graded level plateau, perfect for camping and RVs. The plateau overlooks the main pit area, the qualifying loop and a good portion of the racecourse. There will be hot food, cold beverages and a beer garden available at the event.
Tickets are $10 and are available event-site only. If you bring proof of purchase (a receipt) of two Monster Energy drinks, the entry fee is FREE. All spectators must sign a Waiver of Release to enter the race area. It is advised that you arrive prior to the 9:00am race start to see the opening cermonies and watch the competitors prepare for the start. Racers will be competing for 500 miles, so about 18 hours in total.
Bring a chair, sunscreen, hat, etc. There will be food and beverage available for sale in the spectator plateau area.
