Celebrating 19 Years of Amazing BBQ, Brews and Blues!
Fire up the grills, tap the kegs and crank up the tunes for Reno's best summer kick-off party! The unofficial kick off to summer, the 19th Annual Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews and Blues festival is set for Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21. The event is equal parts barbeque block party, micro-brew tasting event and music festival with two stages featuring free non-stop rock and blues.
Attendees can wash down the hot rock and blues with some cool brews! A selection of the Eldorado's own Brew Brothers' custom microbrews will be on tap along with more than 40 microbreweries from around the world. 2013 breweries included; Battle Born, Lagunitas, Sam Adams, Anheuser-Busch, Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Alaskan Brewing Co., Kona Brewing Co., High Sierra Brewing Co., Deschutes Brewery, Moab Brewery, Lost Coast Brewery and many more. Beer lovers will appreciate the flat rate tasting fee instead of using tokens to sample brews.
Nothing says summer like barbecue and the Eldorado has the perfect complement to the festival's variety of microbrews…grilled chicken, ribs, sausage and more fresh from the outdoor charbroil grill. Food booths will line Virginia Street serving a variety of tasty options.

John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band (headliner): A legendary "East Coast Rock 'n' Roll" group. Began their career in 1972 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the "Eddie & The Cruisers - Motion Picture Soundtrack". The hit single "On the Dark Side" held the number one position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks. The album sold over three million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA. The title track from the group's 1985 follow-up album “Tough All Over” became their second number one single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song “C-I-T-Y” reached the Billboard Top 20. John Cafferty's solo track "Hearts on Fire" was featured in the Sylvester Stallone film "Rocky IV” and he received his second double Platinum soundtrack award. Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures.
Tommy Castro & The Painkillers: Won the coveted 2008 and 2010 Blues Music Awards for Entertainer of the Year and is arguable one of the brightest stars on the international blues scene.
