Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and St. Patrick's Day Parade
Downtown Virginia City March 15, 2014
Often Referred to as the "Testicle Festival!"
In March, the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry & St. Patrick's Day Parade features marching leprechauns, green attractions, and a Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry (yep—they are either beef or sheep testicles, or some of both.)
This is a fun filled day of unique eating as professional and amateur cooks compete for the most creative and unique dishes utilizing these unique delicacies. More than 20 cooks compete in one of Northern Nevada's most popular tasting contests serving up tasty testes all day, hoping for fame and glory as one of the best Rocky Mountain Oyster cooks in the West.
it's a full-on Irish Testicle Festival with a Beer Garden, live Irish music, individual and team ball-eating contests and topped off with the Leprechaun Bar Crawl. At 12:00noon, catch the Virginia City St. Patrick's Day Parade on C Street, featuring the Minden Irish Dancers, our Giant Leprachaun's of Fresno and more.
