The Creative Coalition of Midtown (CCM) will host its second event, The Sounds Music Walk, in Midtown on Friday October 11 from 5-9p. Thirty of the CCM’s small businesses will be participating in the free, family friendly event by hosting different music themed activities that will range from performances by local musicians to drum circles.
Starting at 5p, participants will be able to pick up a map of participating businesses and explore the neighborhood while enjoying music themed art, activities, live entertainment and food and drink specials. Participants are encouraged to take photos at each stop on the map and post to their Instagram page with the #ccmsounds for a chance to win gift certificates and prizes to the local businesses.
The Sounds Music Walk is scheduled to end at 9p, however, area bars will be hosting an after-hours event from 9-12a starting at the Biggest Little Club. For a $25 wristband, available for purchase starting October 7 at Recycled Records, participants receive a special edition show print, drink specials, and entrance to four performances featuring local musicians. Proceeds will benefit the Miss Mess Project.
