The Writer's Block - An Open Mic For Writers
July 10, 2014 - January 7, 2016
6:45 PM - 9:00 PM
According to Hemingway, "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." However, you need a place to share your writings and offer it to those who share your same love for words. What better place to welcome such creativity than the Wildflower..
So, what is The Writer's Block at Wildflower Village? It is an open mic for writers every Thursday, at a certain time (7:00 PM/6:45 PM sign-ups) and place (Wildflower Village). Come out and share a few words with a crowd who WANTS to hear them. This is a weekly event for the eager writer who wants to share the madness they have written.
Join us for a lovely evening hosted by (yours truly) Annalise Sierra.
Anything goes, people! Poetry. Short-stories. Songs. Dreams. Confessions. Lies. Truth. Perspective. If you've written it, we want to hear it!
This show is ALL AGES. If ever there are children there the first half of the show is welcome to them, and the second half is open to adult content and whatever words need escaping.
No cover and yes, dear people, there IS a bar with alcoholic beverages other than coffee!! So grab yourself a drink and/or a snack and give a generous tip to the nice lady behind the counter for all her hard work :)
