A free celebration of our nation's birthday featuring live music and Americana!
Bluegrass, String Band, Dixieland and Americana music. Educational and children's activities, jamming, food and more. The event kicks off with a children's parade (10am) and concludes with the Carson City Symphony performing a medley of patriotic tunes (4:30pm)
2014 is also the sesquicentennial (150th birthday) for the state of Nevada! Morman Station State Park is located in the qaint community of Genoa. Founded in 1851, Genoa is Nevada's oldest settlement and the perfect location for a old-fashioned, family celebration. It is located at the base of the beautiful Sierra Nevada range.
