Reno Gay Pride Festival

Reno Gay Pride festival is kicking off its 14^th annual event this year with an additional sense of pride and enthusiasm. With the passage of the Nevada Domestic Partnership law now behind us, the community is ready for quite a celebration. Reno Gay Pride’s theme this year is “Party with Pride!”

Attendees, friends and family from all walks of life are in for quite a celebration with a first rate line-up of entertainers. Specialty vendors, food vendors and local non-profits will all be out enjoying the brand loyalty of the LGBT community. Reno Gay Pride is the largest annual gathering of LGBT people in Northern Nevada – giving visibility to the community.

Reno Gay Pride, produced by the Nevada Gay And Lesbian Visitors And Convention Bureau, will once again host it’s festival at Wingfield Park on Saturday August 14, 2010 11am – 6:pm.

On a historical note, former Governor Bob Miller, signed the very first Gay Pride Proclamation (issued by any governor in the United States) in 1996 at the request of Reno Gay Pride members.
