WINEucopia featuring Soul Asylum
August 4, 2012
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
For the last 8 years, Rock ‘n Roll Wine has produced some of the most energetic and groundbreaking wine events in the country. Their unique wine tasting/concert concept has highlighted over 250 wineries and featured over 60 bands and musicians including Train, Third Eye Blind, The Script, Lifehouse, JET, Better Than Ezra and many more. NBC LA says Rock ‘n Roll Wine is “the perfect pairing of wine and live music” and the Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown proclaims that “Rock ‘n Roll Wine is out to destroy wine’s stodgy reputation.”
Now Rock ‘n Roll Wine is bringing the legendary wine tasting experience to Reno. On Saturday, August 4, inside the Reno Ballroom, Rock ‘n Roll Wine will debut their signature WINEucopia event - a bountiful evening of indulgence for wine and music enthusiasts alike. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the wine tasting lasting from 7-10 p.m. Concert will conclude at 11p.m. with the official after-party open to the public being held at Aura Lounge inside the Silver Legacy Resort Casino.
Guests of WINEucopia will enjoy a delicious lineup of more than 70 headlining wines from 35+ wineries, while enjoying live performances from Grammy Award winning alternative rock band Soul Asylum, Tony Beliveau of alternative rock stalwarts Crash Kings, and more to be announced. Soul Asylum garnered critical acclaim and chart success with their singles "Somebody to Share”, “Misery” and “Runaway Train” which won a Grammy Award for best rock song in 1994. The Crash Kings single “Mountain Man” soared to #1 on the Alternative Rock charts in the spring of 2010.
Rock ‘n Roll Wine Founders Chris Hammond and Sonny Barton operate by the philosophy that the wine experience is just as important as what is in the glass. By combining delicious wine and fantastic live music with the right people in an electric atmosphere, they’ve created an unforgettable wine experience.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public Wednesday, June 6 and are priced at $50 (including taxes). A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $65 (including taxes).
