26th Annual Elk Camp & Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Expo

The Expo Hall at Elk Camp is a great way to spend time with family and friends. Roam through fantastic exhibits of custom rifles, hunting accessories, outdoor gear and unique handcrafted art. You can even scout out the hunt of your dreams.

    * Exhibit Hall—Experience a wilderness adventure as you enter our extensive hall filled with nearly 400 exhibits. Each exhibit features an individual specialty from wildlife art to outfitted hunts to hunting gear galore!
    * World Record Elk Tour—The World Record Elk display is definitely something you won’t want to pass by. This is your chance to see some of the world's biggest bulls.
    * World Elk Calling Championships™sponsored by Leupold—The 22nd Annual World Elk Calling Championships™ will be held on Saturday, March 6th with preliminaries on Friday, March 5th. Come experience this incredible competition and choose your own favorites.
    * Spike Camp Hunting Seminars sponsored by Cabela's—Hone your hunting skills as some of America’s best known outdoor enthusiasts share their latest tips on bowhunting, horse packing, marksmanship, calling wildlife and more!
    * Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Workshop—Build confidence, have fun and enjoy the camaraderie at the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop Saturday morning. Whether you want to try new outdoor activities or you just improve your skills, you’ll have a great time that you won’t soon forget.
    * Interactive Area—From Kids Camp to the Archery Range to the LaserShot Shooting System, this addition to the Exhibit Hall has something to entice everyone. The Reno Fly Shop will provide fly casting instructions for the entire family. And on Friday and Saturday, you can lean how to pack your horse or mule at the Packing Clinic (seating for the packing clinic is limited, call (866) 455-RMEF to register.)

Peppermill Casino & Hotel (Thursday, March 4)
Help us kick off our 26th Annual Elk Camp with comedian Jim Gaffigan!  Jim's recent Comedy Central Special, CD and DVD, Beyond the Pale catapulted him to one of the most popular touring and recording comedians in the country today.  Jim has also had roles on Sex and the City, Third Watch and each of the Law & Order shows, among others. Jim can be seen this November in My Boys, TBS’ first original scripted comedy series.

Volunteer Fun Night

Join us in marvelous Reno at the Peppermill for another fun and exciting night. Surprise Entertainment tops the night along with dinner, volunteer awards and a prize-filled drawing. March 5th we celebrate you, our volunteers, for all of your hard work and dedication throughout the year. The seats fill up fast so be sure to get your tickets early. Join us as we present country superstar Sara Evans, at Saturday night’s Grand Banquet.  Sara has won numerous accolades, among them the Academy of Country Music’s Female Vocalist of the Year and the Country Music Association’s Video of the Year for “Born to Fly”. She was named 2006 Female Vocalist of the Year in the R&R Reader’s Poll and has been celebrated as one of  People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People.” Evans has earned numerous #1 hits, two of which she co-wrote, including “Born to Fly,” “No Place That Far,” “Suds In The Bucket” and “A Real Fine Place to Start.”
