WANTED: VOLUNTEERS FOR 2005 RENO RIVER FESTIVAL May 12-15, 2005

RENO, Nev. (March 15, 2005) - Looking for a chance to get outdoors and participate in one of the summer's most touted weekend festivals? The Reno River Festival is back May 12-15, 2005 and is even bigger than before with more opportunities to catch the sports' top athletes competing for the top prize, as well as amateur competitions and plenty of ways for first timers, kids and families to get in the water and enjoy the river. The festival committee is actively seeking volunteers to help with the event, no experience necessary.

"Following such a successful first-year event, the Reno River Festival is taking every measure to ensure this year's event is even bigger and better the second time around," said Deanna Ashby, executive director of marketing for the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA). "We anticipate it to be a tremendous sequel to last year's opening, one that captures the true meaning of our America's Adventure Place message."

Reno River Festival volunteer positions include the following:

• Expo set up and tear down
• Assistance with event competitions
• Assistance with scheduled clinics

*There are only 50 volunteer positions available positions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. For their efforts, volunteers will receive a 2005 Reno River Festival T-shirt and lunch.
