The Reno River Festival features competitions that are open to the public via paid registration (pending skill level) and competitions that are for professional invited athletes.

Open Freestyle

Think you've got moves? Let's see 'em! Get out there and cut it up in the Open Whitewater Freestyle. The top three men and women from this event will be invited to compete with Top Pros in the Invitational Whitewater Freestyle Competition.

Boater Cross

The Boater Cross is back for the third year. In this fast moving action packed competition, kayakers are pitted against each other in a mad paddling 100 yard dash down the south fork of the Truckee River whitewater Park. Winners will be selected through a process of elimination. This event is a hoot to compete in and a riot to watch! Don't miss out!

Down-River Race

The Down River Race is a more traditional kayak race that tests both endurance and speed.  Paddlers will maneuver through five miles of river to claim the prize at the finish line.
